Irish Women’s Six Nations Squad Announced

Munster are well represented in this year’s Six Nations squad with 13 of the 26 players named playing with Munster clubs. UL Boh’s Sarahjane Belton will captain the team

Belton Captains Ireland for Women s Six Nations

Irish coach Philip Doyle has named his 26-player squad to for the upcoming Six Nations. Included for the first time are Jeannette Feighery (UL Bohemian), Caroline Mahon (UL Bohemian), Yvonne Nolan (Blackrock), Kate O’ Loughlin (Clonmel) and Sinead Ryan (Navan). In all, Munster is well represented with 13 players on the 26 player squad. Veteran second row Rosie Foley returns to the squad after having her first baby last summer, despite not being involved in any club or provincial action since. Munster out-half Sarahjane Belton will once again captain the squad. Ireland will warm up for the competition with a game against the USA on January 25 in Thomond Park. Kick off is at 7.30pm.
