Dowling Out For A Minimum Six Weeks
29th December 2007 By Munster Rugby
The knee injury sustained by Ian Dowling late in the second half of the Magners League game against Connacht on Thursday, although not as serious as first feared, will see the Kilkenny man sidelined for six to eight weeks.
Dowling, who has been in impressive form in recent weeks, was stretchered off in the 76th minute of the game at Musgrave Park, with a left knee injury and it transpires that he suffered medial ligament damage.
It means he will miss the Heineken Cup games against Clermont Auvergne and London Wasps and the Magners League trip to Edinburgh.
