McAllister For Sale

Media reports have it that All Black centre/out-half Luke McAllister, who had been linked with a move to Munster, among others, some months back, is set to sign for Sale Sharks.
The 23 year old is reported to have agreed a £240,000 contract with the Manchester club while his father will also be employed by the Premiership side on their Academy staff.
As a youngster, McAllister spent nine years in Manchester when his father Charlie played Rugby League with Oldham. And while there has been no official confirmation of McAllister’s move by the NZRFU, the player himself saying, “I have not made a decision on what I am doing, but I will make in the next couple of weeks,” the speculation in the New Zealand press is that the deal that will take him back to Manchester is as good as done ‘n dusted.
He did confirm he had turned down offers from Toulouse and Biarritz citing language as a reason and also confirmed that Leicester had made approaches.
Meanwhile, Neath-Swansea Ospreys are believed to be on the trail of former All Black flanker Marty Holah. The 32 year old Waikato and Chiefs player has been capped 36 times by the Blacks, last time in their 34-23 win over Ireland in June last year.
