Twickenham Not An Option
27th July 2007 By Munster Rugby
Should Munster be drawn away to London Wasps in the opening rounds of this year’s Heineken Cup, the game will not be played in Twickenham as had been suggested.
London Wasps have enquired about the availability of the stadium and have been informed that planned road improvements in the vicinity of Twickenham means they will not be able to stage their Heineken Cup game there.
However, it is understood they are also considering the possibility of staging the game at Wembley Stadium.
ERC Ltd are expected to announce details of Rounds One to Four early next week, possibly on Monday.
