Cork Gears Up to Welcome Heroes
26th May 2008 By Munster Rugby
After thousands of Munster fans thronged the streets of Limerick on Sunday to welcome home the victorious Munster team, Cork gears up to welcome their heroes to the city on Tuesday night.
Festivities will kick off at 7pm with entertainment from “The Laughing Shamrocks” on the stage at Parnell Place. There will also be a big screen located on the South Mall showing the events. At the same time, the Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr. Donal Counihan and Cork City Council will host a Civic Reception in City Hall for the team.
Following the reception, the team will walk across to Parnell Place to the stage where they will address the supporters and display the magnificent Heineken Cup.
