O’Connell out of early stages of RBS Six Nations

Paul O’Connell who suffered a setback this week during his rehabilitation from a back injury is thought to unlikely to participate in the early part of the Six Nations Championship
O’Connell was originally named in Munster’s squad for today’s clash with Clermont Auvergne. However, he withdrew from training on Wednesday and a statement issued by IRFU yesterday afternoon confrmed that tests will be required to be carried out on the injury over the next number of days to establish the extent of the set back.
