Chambers In For ‘A’ Game.
19th October 2011 By Munster Rugby
Will Chambers who arrived in Munster a week ago will make his first start in the A game against Connacht in Galway on Friday (2pm).
The twenty three year old lines up alongside Tom Gleeson in the centre with Academy player Luke O'Dea on the wing.
Munster field a formidable front row of Marcus Horan, Damien Varley, BJ Botha, with young tyros Dave Foley and Ian Nagle behind them while Cork Con lock Philip Donnellan is listed among the replacements alongside Academy trio Dave Kilcoyne (hooker), Brian O'Hara (back-row) and JJ Hanrahan.
Meanwhile Mike Sherry's return to action since returning from New Zealand ended badly when he sprained his ankle playing for Garryowen last weekend, an injury that rules him out for the immediate future. He is expected to undergo further examination later this week to determine the full extent of the injury.
