Suicide Aware “Mind Your Mates” Campaign
23rd May 2011 By Munster Rugby
The Suicide Aware “Mind your Mates” Campaign is about being alert to the signs of depression and suicidal behaviour in your family members and friends and to look out for one another.
Eighty percent of people who die by suicide will have given indications of their intentions and it is most important that we are vigilant to these signs and never ever ignore any unusual signs.
Eighty five percent of people who contemplated suicide and who changed their minds and chose life – did so after the intervention of a friend or family member.
Join in the “Mind your Mates” Campaign and help save lives – it could be your friends or your sister or brother's life you are saving. Go to www.suicideaware.ie for more details.
