Weekend Preview
11th September 2013 By Munster Rugby
Final of Limerick Charity Cup is to be decided this weekend as second semi final in Cork charity Cup will be played on Thursday evening.
Holders U.L. Bohemian and Shannon go head to head at Tom Clifford Park on Saturday to decide the destination of this season’s Limerick Charity Cup. Rory Whyte has been the Annacotty side’s leading try scorer in the competition and Derek Farrell has proved to be an accurate kicker.
Shannon proved too strong for Young Munster in last week’s semi final where a try from Dave O’Donovan and the boot of Rob Guerin gave them a 16-13 victory.
The second semi final of the Cork Charity Cup between Cork Constitution and Highfield takes place at Temple Hill on Thursday evening kick off 7.30, with the winners meeting first time finalists Cashel in the decider.
The Transfield Cup continues with the quarter finals down for decision on Sunday.
Newcastle West continue their defence of the trophy with a home tie against St Mary’s and Garryowen take on Bruff at Dooradoyle.
Young Munster entertain St Senan’s at Tom Clifford Park and the only Limerick City derby sees Presentation and Richmond going head to head at Rathuard.
The Garryowen Cup continues as Cashel take on Nenagh Ormond at the Spafield and Galbally have a home tie against Kilfeacle.
In the semi finals of the Dennehy Cup, Cork Constitution play Sunday’s Well in a local derby at Temple Hill and Mallow are at home to Old Christians.
The first semi final of the O'Sullivan (Muskerry) Cup sees Bandon taking on Midleton at Old Chapel.
There are two remaining quarter finals down for decision as holders Mitchelstown have a home tie with Kinsale and Dolphin entertain Highfield at Musgrave Park.
