Munster Rugby Golf Classic 2015

The fifteenth annual Munster Rugby Golf Classic took place at The Heritage Golf Resort & Spa in Killenard in Co. Laois on Monday last.

In all, 30 teams of three took advantage of perfect playing conditions on the day before returning to the clubhouse for a complimentary drinks reception, kindly sponsored by Diageo, followed by dinner and prize presentations.

Munster players Robin Copeland, Ronan O’Mahony and new signing Francis Saili were also in attendance and joined Senior Vice President of Munster Branch, Gerry O’Shea, in presenting the tournament prizes which were also sponsored by Diageo. See further pictures below.

Munster Rugby CEO Garrett Fitzgerald took the opportunity to thank all those in attendance for their continued support as well as Diageo for their generous sponsorship on the day. Fitzgerald also complimented The Heritage, their staff and grounds keepers for their exceptional course and service on the day.


Munster Rugby Golf Society
Due to popular demand, the Munster Rugby Golf Society has recommenced outings for the coming season. Annual membership is EUR60 with a reduced rate of EUR30 for 10 Year Ticket holders, MRSC members and Munster Rugby Patrons.

Membership includes:

  • 4 outings per annum on top quality courses with subsidised green fees. Outings will be held on Saturdays and Sundays where possible.
  • Prizes for all outings together with a Golfer of the Year award.
  • Away trips around matches will be organised based on interest.
