Squad Update

Following last weekend’s draw away to Scarlets, get the latest injury update as the squad now prepare for the arrival of Glasgow Warriors to Irish Independent Park on Saturday.

On a positive note, there were no issues to report from CJ Stander (ankle) and Dave Kilcoyne (knee) who both successfully came through the full 80 minutes against Scarlets.

Keith Earls also played his first full 80 for the province since May last year.

Tommy O’Donnell who was replaced after 35 minutes for HIA returned to Irish camp yesterday evening, while Paddy Butler continues to follow his return to play protocols following a confirmed concussion.

Johne Murphy (hand) and Andrew Smith (knee) continue with their return to contact training this week and their progress will be reviewed as the week continues.

It is expected that Duncan Casey (ankle) will return to on-field running by the end of the week.

Following on from a further review with the specialist, Dave Foley (wrist) requires an extended period of immobilisation so he has now been ruled out of action until June.

Donnacha Ryan is continuing with his return to modified scrummaging, while Robin Copeland underwent keyhole surgery on his shoulder last week and is recovering well post-op.

James Cronin, Cathal Sheridan, Mike Sherry, Barry O’Mahony, Alan Cotter, Cian Bohane, Tyler Bleyendaal, Johnny Holland and Gerhad van den Heever also continue with their respective rehab programmes.

Anthony Foley will name his side to face Glasgow Warriors in Round 16 of the Guinness PRO12 this Friday at 12 noon. Get the team first at munsterrugby.ie or on Twitter: @munsterrugby #MunVGla
