Ticket & Match Day Info: Munster V Warriors

It’s a big night of action both on and off the pitch at Irish Independent Park as Munster take on top of the table Glasgow Warriors in Round 16 of the Guinness PRO12. The official opening will also take place before kick-off. Gates will open at 5.45pm with less than 2,000 tickets now remaining.

Tickets

Tickets are available to buy online here, from the Ticket Offices in Irish Independent Park and Thomond Park, and outside the Dolphin Gate on Saturday from 12 midday, and from 5.45pm at the Sunday’s Well gate.

Please note that there will be unallocated seating in the West Stand.

Event Information

A pre-match Q&A with members of the Munster squad will take place prior to the game – at 6:45pm upstairs at the Dolphin Clubhouse. This is open to the public and all are welcome.

The official opening of Irish Independent Park will take place on the pitch before kick-off. Minister Simon Coveney TD will be joined by Munster Rugby Branch President Mick Goggin, Development Committee Chairman Denis Kelleher and Group Marketing Director at Independent Newspapers Geoff Lyons in officially opening the stadium.

The Munster Rugby Supporters Club Choir will perform before the game, and we also welcome The 27 Brass Band to Irish Independent Park.

Complimentary copies of the Irish Independent will be distributed inside the ground on the night, as will free Irish Independent thunder sticks to help fans create some noise during the game. Keep an eye out also for the Irish Independent Tuk Tuks who will be offering lifts to supporters along Tramore Road before the game.

Bring the kids in time to enjoy the fun activities of the Bank of Ireland Family Funzone, located at the Dolphin end, and watch out for members of the Munster Rugby Supporters Club who will be giving out free Munster flags before the game.

At half time, we look forward to welcoming the U11’s from Fermoy RFC and Dolphin RFC.

Match programmes will be on sale inside the grounds costing €;4.

Life Style Sports will be open at the stadium, with a wide range of official Munster merchandise on sale.

A range of food will be on sale – including homemade Irish beef burgers, chicken salsa and guacamole tacos and BBQ marinated pulled pork!


Please note:
No one will be able to enter the stadium with alcohol or any glass containers.
Do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations.
There will be stewards and security on site to assist you with your enquiries on the day, and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely, so please respect their requests.


Parking

The Black Ash Park and Ride car park will be remain open until 10pm to accommodate supporters – €;3 per car. Click here for a map from Black Ash to Irish Independent Park.

Please respect the local residents by not parking illegally.

Any cars obstructing entrances/exits will be clamped and towed.


Weather in Cork
It will be raining during the day in Cork, but it is expected to dry up in the evening and remain dry for the game.
