Video highlights, action shots and the post-match thoughts of Head Coach Anthony Foley following yesterday’s 17-6 Champions Cup defeat away to Leicester Tigers at Welford Road.

The loss sees Munster remain in third on the Pool 4 table with three Pool games remaining – away and home to Stade Francais respectively before travelling to Trevsio in Round 6.

Speaking with media at Welford Road yesterday, Head Coach Anthony Foley commented, “Not as frustrating as last week but I’m just annoyed at the way we turned over our own possession and how loose we are around it.

“We worked so hard to get into good positions and create opportunities and then we just let it go. It’s as simple as that. You want to make the opposition work hard, make another decision and defend another tackle and we didn’t make them do that.

“The action on the ground let us down, we need to look after the ball better and need to make sure that no matter what that ball comes back to us.

“The boys will look back at the game and some of the opportunities that we should have taken. We thought we should have won last week with the chances we gave ourselves and will probably go away from this game thinking we should have won also.

“But the fact remains that we didn’t – why didn’t we? We’re not scoring and being ruthless in that area of the pitch and if we continue to do that it’s very hard to win games.”
