Getting To Know Darren O’Shea
21st July 2016 By Munster Rugby
Returning to Munster after a two-year stint with Worcester Warriors, get to know Crosshaven native Darren O’Shea as he prepares to line out for his native province in the second row.
Having completed one season in the Greencore Munster Rugby Academy, O’Shea made the move to England where he helped Worcester win promotion to the Aviva Premiership. The 23-year-old is a product of the provincial age-grade system and began a two-year senior contract with Munster at the beginning of preseason.
Incidentally, this year’s Kearys Renault Series could see the O’Shea go toe-to-toe with his former teammates when the province host Worcester at Irish Independent Park on August 26th, a game that also sees Munster’s most capped player of all time, Donncha O’Callaghan, make a welcome return to Cork.
