Despite two losses on the bounce – to Ospreys and Glasgow Warriors – and Munster slipping to seventh on the Guinness PRO12 table, Foley is encouraged by marked improvements in performance, progress which he hopes will continue as Munster vie for Champions Cup and PRO12 play-off qualification.
“This week we need to make sure that we can get a performance that moves us back up the table and gives us some momentum heading into a crucial period of the season.
“We came out of two games where we scored six tries and that shows that we are sharpening our tools. We believe that we have left a few behind us as well and if we can get a bit more control into what we are doing the results will come.
“There isn’t a million things wrong, it’s just one or two things that we need to rectify and if we can do that, wins won’t be too far away.”
