Munster Rugby Extend Partnership With Nutrition X

Global sports nutrition specialists Nutrition X are celebrating a double-whammy of success in Ireland; not only marking the one-year anniversary of their first European-based office in Dublin, but celebrating an extension to their exciting partnership with Munster Rugby’s men’s squad for the 2023/24 season.

The year-long contract has been signed following a highly successful initial season working together over the past 12 months, and will see the specialists act not only as nutrition suppliers to the club over the next year, but as an extended support arm to Munster Rugby’s own specialist nutrition department throughout the season.

Munster Rugby were attracted to Nutrition X thanks to the nutrition specialist’s focus on quality and safety when it comes to supplementation; something the club and players take incredibly seriously. Championing safe supplementation at every angle of professional sport, every one of Nutrition X’s sports nutrition products are batch-tested and Informed-Sport accredited, meaning they are tested rigorously for substances listed on the World Anti-Doping Agency Banned Substance list.

As part of the agreement, Nutrition X will continue to work closely with the club’s nutrition department – as well as the players themselves – to deliver tailored sports nutrition designed to support player performance from every angle. From energy and hydration products designed to help players achieve their peak potential on the pitch, to award-winning recovery supplements designed to give their body the repair support needed post-match, the supplements will form a key part of players’ nutrition strategies throughout the season.

Alongside this, the club will benefit from Nutrition X’s championed education and ‘Food-First’ approach with access to the specialists’ team of sports nutrition experts, including Professor Graeme L Close, Professor of Human Physiology at Liverpool John Moores University. Nutrition X also afford partner clubs with access to their unique ‘Partner Portal’; an exclusive education-hub crammed full of insight, advice and materials designed to improve player knowledge on how nutrition, food and supplementation strategy can impact performance for the better.

Products supplied will be delivered from Nutrition X’s Ireland office, based in Dublin. Celebrating its one year anniversary, the Ireland office is Nutrition X’s first foray into Europe and has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 months, opening up a host of European-based club partnerships including Munster Rugby, Malmo FF and FK Bodo Glimt for the Gloucester-based specialists.

Jack Deaman, Head of UK and European Partnerships at Nutrition X, commented on the partnership: “It’s been fantastic to take our first leap into Irish rugby with such a prestigious club over the past 12 months and it goes without saying that we’re honoured to be extending our partnership for the upcoming season. We’re very much looking forward to continuing to support them throughout 2023/24 and – if this year is anything to go by – it’s sure to be an exciting one.”

Clare Farrell, Lead Performance Nutritionist with Munster Rugby, also commented: “We look forward to developing our partnership further with Jack, Graeme, and the Nutrition X team over the coming year. The provision of Nutrition X’s products plays a key role in our overall nutrition strategy as we provide the best-in-class support for our players in this elite environment.”
