Ben O’Connor joined the Munster Rugby Academy as an 18-year-old this summer after completing his Leaving Cert having won the 2023 Pinergy Munster Schools Senior Cup title with PBC.
A talented sportsman, Ben has won two All-Ireland medals with Cork in hurling – at minor level in 2021 and U20 level this summer.
He lined out for Munster and Ireland at U19 level last season and was a Schools Senior Cup finalist with PBC in 2022.
We spoke to him earlier this month, ahead of his 19th birthday last weekend, for his first interview since joining the Academy.
