Following on from last season’s customer feedback surveys and in continuing to enhance the customer experience at Thomond Park, Munster Rugby are pleased to confirm the following stadium improvements for the 2017/18 season.

Second Big Screen

Thomond Park have noted feedback from supporters advising that a second big screen would greatly enhance the matchday experience.  Since then, all possibilities to provide same have been explored and this has taken some time due to the restrictions of the stadium’s internal layout.

However, a solution has been found with a second big screen to be installed at the South Terrace as a matter of priority and in time for Munster’s first home Champions Cup game against Racing 92 on Saturday October 21 at 5.30pm.

Bar Queuing Times

In building on last season’s improvements, Thomond Park continues to monitor and adapt bar staffing and pourage procedures in accordance with demand for any given game.  Additionally, the new queuing system first implemented last season will continue to facilitate the efficient running of the stadium’s main bars.

Speeding up the payment process, contactless payment is now available in every bar throughout the stadium.

West Side Entertainment

Following customer feedback requests, plans are now in place to introduce live entertainment on the West side of the pitch pre-match, commencing at the above-mentioned Racing 92 clash, providing a carnival atmosphere on both sides of the pitch.

Directly outside the stadium, all pre-match entertainment takes place just a short 300m walk from the West Stand.  There, under the East Stand, you will find the Guinness Fan Zone Plaza incorporating the covered Fan Zone Pavillion, Guinness Dug Out Bar, Munster Experience Museum, Bank of Ireland Family Funzone, live entertainment and much more.

Stewarding

In accordance with demand for any given game, additional stewards will be on hand to assist supporters and ensure an enjoyable matchday experience at Thomond Park.  As per feedback, the East Terrace will see the most notable increase in stewarding.

In addition, all stewards have undertaken additional customer service training for the coming season.

As always your continued feedback is both welcome and invaluable to the continued operation of Thomond Park and Irish Independent Park.  Should you wish offer any feedback on your experience, please contact customercare@munsterrugby.ie.
