Highlights, Pics & Reaction | Munster v Castres
16th October 2017 By The Editor
Munster may count themselves not to lose yesterday’s game due to continued ill-discipline in the closing stages, but despite acknowledging the side’s poor performance, Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus maintained that two points from an away trip in France was by no means a bad outcome.

Erasmus spoke in the immediate aftermath of yesterday’s 17-all draw, paying tribute to how the hosts brought the game to Munster and citing the province’s need for improvement ahead of Racing 92 at Thomond Park on Saturday.
“They beat a lot of teams here. I think they have only lost one here this season. They are a difficult team to play, with their pressure and intensity.
“They still have to come to Thomond but that doesn’t take away that we still could have won.
“Being in Castres and taking two points, we’ll take that but it doesn’t take away from a tactically poor performance.”
Despite taking the lead early in the second half thanks to a Dave Kilcoyne try, Munster ill-discipline ultimately handed the hosts two late chances to win the game – Benjamin Urdapilleta missing late penalty and drop goal attempts much to the relief of Peter O’Mahony and his teammates. The squad captain also spoke with media after the game.
“If you took the last ten minutes, certainly, relief would be a word I’d use.
“Over the 80 minutes we’d be disappointed. We put ourselves in a fight, which is the number one thing to do when you come to places like Castres.
“It’s always a difficult task and I’m delighted with the two points.”
