Munster Rugby have donated €9,573 to the Irish heart Foundation as part of the partnership between the province and the charity, last season’s official Nominated Charity Partner.

Tommy O’Donnell, CJ Stander and Keith Earls presented the cheque on behalf of Munster Rugby to the Irish Heart Foundation’s Nancy Ward, Corporate Partnerships Manager, and Anne Riordan, Regional Manager for Munster, at the HPC in Limerick yesterday.

The money was raised from match programme sales at the Munster v Leinster game at Thomond Park last St Stephen’s Day and the Munster Rugby Awards event last April.

The Leinster clash was Munster’s Official Charity Match with a signed jersey also presented to the Irish Heart Foundation among other benefits provided for the charity.

Along with raising funds, the partnership also saw Munster raise awareness of the Irish Heart Foundation’s #ShowSomeHeart campaign and CPR 4 Schools training programme.

Bank of Ireland kindly provided a sponsorship handover for the Munster v Toulon Champions Cup quarter-final against Toulon with the Irish Heart Foundation displayed on the front of the Munster jerseys for the memorable clash.

Visit www.irishheart.ie for more information on Irish Heart Foundation and find out where to sign up for a CPR course.
