Next week's event is the first Munster Rugby New York Dinner.

The inaugural Munster Rugby New York Dinner takes place on Tuesday, September 25, at the New York Athletic Club.

The event, titled ‘NYC Championing the Youth of Munster’, will see members of the 2008 European Cup-winning Munster team being honoured throughout the night.

The fundraiser will benefit underage rugby across the province and aid Munster community rugby programmes.

This Gala Dinner is now a complete sell-out with over 300 people set to attend.

Munster Rugby Head of Commercial, Doug Howlett, said: “Following on from the success of our annual London Dinner, the New York Dinner is a fantastic opportunity for us to go further afield in reaching out to the Munster diaspora.

“We are delighted to see the event has sold out and it speaks volumes for the strength of the Munster community that there has been such demand in attending the inaugural Munster Rugby New York Dinner.

“The organising committee in New York have done trojan work and their efforts have been central to the successful planning of this event.

“We look forward to an enjoyable evening celebrating the 10-year anniversary of our second European Cup win with some real Munster legends joining us at the New York Athletic Club.”
