10 Munster Players In AIL Action

There were 10 Munster players in AIL action over the weekend as round five of the Men’s All Ireland League took place.

In Division 1A Danny Sheahan lined out for Cork Constitution as they were beaten in the closing minutes 16-20 by Dublin rivals Clontarf.

Elsewhere in 1A Young Munster ran in five tries in their impressive 36-21 win over Lansdowne at Tom Clifford Park. Academy scrumhalf Jake O’Riordan crashed over in the game and was joined in the squad by fellow Munster backs Tony Butler and Shay McCarthy.

Garryowen suffered defeat at the hands of Ballynahinch with a score line of 33-7. Jack Daly scored the only try for the side which Dylan Hicks converted. Brian Gleeson, Jack Oliver and Diarmuid Kilgallen were also included in the matchday squad.

Sean Edogbo lined out for UCC in 1B as they lost 34-30 to Naas.
