11 Munster Players In AIL Action

There were 11 Munster players in AIL action over the weekend as eight academy and three senior squad members took to the field for their clubs.
Bryan Fitzgerald captained Garryowen to a last minute defeat to St Marys College in Templeville Road as Marys ran out 25-22 winners. Jack Daly was one of the try scorers on the day while Dylan Hicks kicked a conversion and a penalty. George Hadden packed down in the front row for the Limerick based side while Jack Oliver was on the bench.
Tony Butler touched down for Young Munster in their 26-25 defeat to Ballynahinch. Shay McCarthy and Jake O’Riordan were also included in the Cookies matchday squad.
Danny Sheahan was on the bench for Cork Constitution as they took on Lansdowne on the back pitch in the Aviva stadium where they were beaten 27-10.
While Sean Edogbo togged out for UCC and Luke Murphy for Shannon as the teams faced off in the Maradyke. College ran out 42-7 winners over the Shannonsiders.
