Around 300 players took part in an emerging school blitz day which took place on Tuesday at Shannon RFC in Coonagh.

Approximately 200 U15 players and 100 U17 players took part in a busy day of rugby with all players getting plenty of game time and the opportunity to showcase their skills.

The players represented a wide variety of secondary schools from Clare, Limerick and Tipperary.

Munster Rugby Technical Skills Development Coach Mike Pettman was present on the day and he ran skills workshops for the players in between games.

The Rugby Development Department would like to thank Shannon RFC for hosting the successful blitz and for supporting the emerging schools programme.
