60 Attend Dungarvan Concussion Workshop

Munster Rugby recently ran a very successful concussion awareness workshop in association with the Waterford Sports Partnership.

There was a large attendance with over 60 coaches from all sports attending the workshop.

Shane Mooney, IRFU First Aid and Injury Prevention Co-ordinator, presented the seminar which included modules relating to concussion recognition management and return to play protocols followed by a question and answer session.

The content has been designed to educate coaches, parents, players and referees on the dangers of concussion and how to recognise it.

Munster Rugby would like to thank Peter Jones and Rosarie Kealy of Waterford Sports Partnership for providing the facilities and Shane Mooney of the IRFU for presenting the workshop.
