Ulster U19 13-11 Munster U19

Munster U19 led Ulster at Bangor Grammar School courtesy of two penalties from Jack Delaney in the opening quarter and with very little between the two sides Munster took their lead into the break.

Ulster started the second-half stronger with an unconverted try before Delaney breached the Munster defence to touch down unconverted.

With Munster leading 11-10 and both sides equally matched, it was Ulster who were awarded a penalty in the 36th minute to run out winners (11-13).

Munster play Leinster in the final Interprovincial round at Maynooth University on Sunday 25 August, kick-off 3.30pm.

Munster U18 Clubs 24-7 Ulster U18 Clubs

Munster U18 Clubs defeated Ulster U18 Clubs 24-7 at UL with Anthony Castillo scoring his side’s first try in the ninth minute.

Darragh McCarthy scored Munster’s second try in the 35th minute before Tony Butler added the extras with the conversion.

Ulster responded with a score of their own but Munster claimed their third try with Ihechi Oji crossing and Butler converting.

After the break, Daniel Hurley touched down for Munster in the 38th minute to get his side on the scoreboard.

Munster continued to pressurise and minutes later Darragh French scored Munster’s second.

However, strong defence from Ulster kept Munster out in the closing stages and they held on to win the match 18-10.
