AIB All Ireland League Fixtures

6th April 2007 By Munster Rugby

Two rounds of games remain in the AIB All Ireland League first division, while teams in Division Two and Three head into the their last round of games this Saturday.

Two rounds of games remain in Division One, with Cork Constitution, UL Bohemians, Shannon, Garryowen and Dungannon all still eyeing play off spots. This Saturday Shannon travel to play Blackrock College, Garryowen travel to Clontarf while Cork Constitution host Terenure, UL Bohemians host Galwegians and Dolphin are away to Lansdowne.

The final round of matches in Division Two take place on Saturday, and Young Munster have put themselves into play off contention after their recent win over DLSP. Old Belvedere and Greystones are already through to the semi-finals, having guaranteed themselves first and second place in the division and promotion back to the top flight. But the final two play-off spots are well and truly up for grabs with Munster clubs Old Crescent, Highfield, Young Munster and Clonakilty as well as Dublin University and Barnhall all still mathematically in contention for inclusion in the final four.

Following their win over Sunday’s Well last weekend, Bruff have moved up to third in the table, two points ahead of Nenagh Ormond with just one game to play. Bruff, are at home to Connemara on Saturday, while Nenagh are at home to promoted side Wanderers. Old Wesley and Instonians could still mathematically make the semi-finals but they would require bonus point wins next weekend and defeats for both Bruff and fourth-placed Nenagh.
