6th January 2007 By Munster Rugby

A mixed bag of results for Munster teams in the AIL this weekend

With the top four teams in Division One paired off in this week’s AIB All Ireland League, in the end a one point margin separated the teams in both matches. Cork Constitution got revenge for their defeat to Garryowen in the final of the ODM Munster Senior Challenge Cup final last weekend with a 12-11 victory over the home side in Dooradoyle, while Shannon went down 16-17 to visitors Clontarf. Dolphin’s trip to Galwegians didn’t find them in winning ways, as they went down 45-15. UL Bohemians had a 24-10 away win to St. Mary’s College.

In Division Two, Clonakilty won the local derby, beating Highfield on their home turf of Woodleigh Park 26-20. Young Munster had 26-10 away win over Malone, while Midleton, Old Crescent, UCC and Thomond were all unsuccessful away from home against Leinster opposition.
