Cork Constitution have extended their lead at the top of Division 1A of the All Ireland League as Garryowen’s unbeaten start ends at Clontarf.

A 24-13 victory over Dublin University at Temple Hill has seen Con’ make it three wins from three. Two tries from JJ O’Neill and one each by Rob Jermyn and Sonny Dwyer helped Con’ to a bonus point victory. Aidan Moynihan kicked two conversions.

Shannon collected maximum points at Lakelands Park where they defeated Terenure College 41-14. Nathan Randles, Aran Hehir, Eathon Moloney, Jake Flannery and Pa Ryan scored tries for Shannon who were also awarded a penalty try. Flannery kicked three conversions and a penalty.

Garryowen’s great run came to an end at Castle Avenue where a second half comeback by Clontarf saw them take the spoils with a 28-10 victory. Peadar Collins was Garryowen’s scorer with a try, conversion and penalty.

U.C.C. went down to their third successive defeat when they lost at Tom Clifford Park to Young Munster 23-17, but they did pick a losing bonus point. John Poland opened the scoring with a try for College but Clayton Stewart replied with a penalty for the home side.

Murray Linn extended Colleges’ lead with a second try but tries from Colm Skehan and Dan Walsh and a Stewart penalty gave Young Munster a 15-10 interval lead. Evan O’Gorman scored The Cookies third try and a Stewart penalty made it 23-10 after fifty five minutes. College secured a bonus point with a try by Peter Sylvester and James Taylor converted.
