All-Ireland League Preview

The Ulster Bank All Ireland League continues this weekend with a full programme of games across all five divisions.
The three Munster sides in Division 1A are in action against Dublin opposition for the second successive weekend.
Cork Constitution, who are third, travel to the Capital to take on bottom side Terenure College at Lakelands Park. The Temple Hill side ran out 31-15 winners when these sides met on Leeside. Con’ will have their work cut out as they aim to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat by Clontarf as Terenure have come off the back of successive wins over Garryowen and Young Munster.
Second-placed Young Munster entertain St Mary’s College at Tom Clifford Park. The Limerick side ran out 34-32 winners when these sides met at Templeville Road. Young Munster will be looking to make the most of home advantage count following their recent home defeat by Terenure College in a bid to record two wins out of two against St Mary’s.
Garryowen, who are now hovering above the drop zone, welcome UCD to Dooradoyle. The Sky Blues have endured a recent run of three successive defeats and they face a tough assignment if they are to avenge November’s 23-16 defeat at Belfield.
The game of the day in Division 1B sees UL Bohemian locking horns with Buccaneers in a top of the table clash at Thomond Park. Bucc’s ran out 49-17 winners when these sides met in Athlone and they hold a nine-point advantage over the Limerick side.
Dolphin and Shannon go head to head in a basement clash at Irish Independent Park. Shannon ran out 17-10 winners when these sides met at Thomond Park and Dolphin face a tough assignment as their last win was against UCC at the Mardyke in early November.
UCC are tied on 25 points with Shannon and they will be looking to make the most of home advantage count in their bid to take another step closer to safety as they host promotion chasing Naas. The Students have come off the back of successive wins over Ballynahinch and Dolphin and they will be looking to avenge November’s 10-6 defeat in County Kildare.
Division 2A leaders Highfield welcome Blackrock College to Woodleigh Park, with the Leesiders looking to avenge November’s 29-21 defeat at Stradbrook.
Nenagh Ormond, who are level on points with Highfield, travel to County Down to take on Banbridge. Nenagh are ten points ahead of the Ulster side and they ran our 25-5 winners when these sides met in North Tipperary.
Sunday’s Well are also in action across the Border as they travel to Belfast to take on Queen’s University by whom they were defeated 21-15 on Leeside.
Cashel are at home to Belfast Harlequins in a basement clash, with the Tipperary side looking to make the most of home advantage count in their battle against the drop as they ran out 22-14 winners when these sides met at Deramore Park.
Old Crescent will be looking to make the most of home advantage count against second-placed Armagh as they aim to bounce back from last week’s 31-27 defeat by City of Derry as they were defeated 21-9 at the Palace Grounds in November.
Thomond, who are propping up the table and battling against a second successive relegation travel to North Dublin to take on Skerries against whom they recorded their only victory in November.
Kanturk travel to County Down to take on Bangor and they were defeated 17-12 when these sides met in Duhallow in November.
Rebel County neighbours Midleton, who have come off the back of four successive defeats, travel to Killiney to take on struggling Seapoint. The East Cork side claimed a losing bonus point when they were defeated 19-17 by the South Dublin side at Towns Park. Midleton have currently endured a run of four successive defeats since their 9-7 home win over Navan in November.
Bruff travel to the Faithful County to take on Tullamore in a mid-table clash. The County Limerick side claimed a losing bonus point when these sides met at Kilballyowen Park in November.
