Cork Constitution's Aidan Moynihan kicked a late penalty to give Con' victory over Young Munster Inpho

No change at the top of both Division 1A and 1B of the All Ireland League as big wins for both Bruff and Midleton at the foot of Division 2C.

Cork Constitution made it thirteen wins from thirteen after seeing off neighbours U.C.C. 16-12 at Temple Hill. A try by Brian Hayes and a conversion and two penalties by Gerry Hurley gave the hosts an early 13-0 lead. Ryan Murphy scored a try for College on the stroke of half time. A penalty try for College closed the gap to a point but substitute Aidan Moynihan kicked a late penalty to secure the points for the Temple Hill side.

Garryowen kept up their challenge with a 32-13 away win at Clontarf. Andy Keating scored two tries for the Limerick side and Colm Quilligan and Cian Hurley scored one each. Ben Healy kicked three conversions and two penalties.

Young Munster are just a point outside the play-off places after they came from 17-11 down at half time to beat Lansdowne 21-20 at Tom Clifford Park. Jack Harrington and Alan Kennedy scored tries for “the Cookies” and Evan Cusack kicked a conversion and three penalties.

Highfield beat bottom side Navan 38-12 at Woodleigh Park to extend their lead at the top of Division 1B. Ben Murphy (2), Sam Burns, Mark Dorgan, Kevin Slater and Miah Cronin were try scorers for Highfield and Shane O’Riordan added four conversions.

Ben Daly was the star for Shannon who ran riot against Naas with a 50-10 home win. At one stage Naas were reduced to 13 with two players in the sin bin.

In front 22-3 at half time the Limerick side ran in a total of seven tries with Daly going in under the posts for the final try. He converted his own try and also five of the others as well as kicking a penalty.

Eathon Moloney and Pa Ryan scored two tries each for Shannon with Nathan Randles and Kelvin Brown getting one each.

Cashel remain in second place in Division 2A but closed the gap to five points of leaders MU Barnhall after their 21-19 home win over Ballymena. Niall Fitzgerald scored two tries for the Tipperary side and James Ryan and Ed Leamy got one each. They were also awarded a penalty try. Aidan McDonald and Darragh Lyons each kicked a penalty.

Old Crescent are back in the play-off places after their 29-17 win over Rainey Old Boys at Rosbrien. Three first half tries from Val McDermott helped Crescent to a 20-3 interval lead. Ronan McKenna kicked four penalties and a conversion.

U.L. Bohemian lost at home to Buccaneers 31-17. Jody Conway and Dave O’Connor scored tries for U.L. Bones and they were also awarded a penalty try.

Nenagh Ormond moved off the bottom of the table with a 34-22 win over Dolphin at Irish Independent Park who are now propping up the table. Nenagh did all the damage in the opening half when they led 31-10 with two tries from Josh Rowland and one each from John Hayes and John Healy. Conor O’Brien kicked four conversions and a penalty and he added a second half penalty also. Andrew Dorgan, Jussi Viljanen and Cillian Ansboro replied with tries for Dolphin. Daryl Foley kicked two conversions and a penalty.

In Division 2C Clonmel defeated leaders Enniscorthy 17-15 and as a result are now in fourth place. Luke Hogan and Martin Altimirano scored tries for Clonmel and Dylan Cadogan converted both. Darren Cass kicked a penalty.

Both relegated threatened Bruff and Midleton recorded bonus point wins. Bruff defeated Omagh Academicals 37-14. Johnny Cleary, Kevin McManus, Sean Darcy, Cillian Rea and Graham Whelan were Bruff’s try scorers and McManus added three conversions and two penalties.

After a difficult week off the pitch Midleton put in their best performance of the season with a 31-5 home win over arch rivals Sunday’s Well. Rob Smyth, Jason Power, Brian Moore and Mark Corby scored tries for the winners and Stuart Lee kicked four conversions and a penalty. Ryan Buckley replied with a last minute try for the ‘Well.

In the Women’s All Ireland League, U.L. Bohemian continued on their unbeaten run with a 32-0 away win at Suttonians. Laura Sheehan and Sarah Quinn each scored two tries for the winners and Chloe Pearse and Stephanie Nunan got one apiece, Nicole Fitzgerald kicked one conversion.
