Despite the terrible weather only two games fell victim to the conditions as Cork Constitution extended their lead at the top of Division 1A of the All Ireland League and Midleton bottom of Division 2C staged a great fight back to beat Omagh Academicals.

Cork Constitution recorded their fourteenth successive win with a 27-0 victory away to Dublin University. JJ O’Neill scored two tries for the leaders, Gerry Hurley got one and they were also awarded a penalty try Aidan Moynihan added a conversion and a penalty.

Young Munster ended Garryowen’s recent good run with an 11-7 win at Dooradoyle. Evan Cusack put the visitors ahead with a penalty mid-way through the opening half. A try from Jack Harrington gave Young Munster an 8-0 half time lead. Alan Tynan kicked a penalty five minutes into the second half for the visitors and eleven minutes from time Garryowen’s pressure was rewarded with a penalty try.
UCC suffered their eleventh successive defeat but claimed their seventh losing bonus point as they lost 14-12 to Terenure College at the Mardyke. Murray Linn and Michael Clune scored tries for College and James Taylor kicked a conversion.

Highfield continued their drive towards automatic promotion from Division 1B after their 17-12 win over Old Belvedere at Ollie Campbell Park. Colin O’Neill and Kevin Slater scored tries for Highfield and they were also awarded a penalty try.

Shannon’s promotion hopes received a setback when they lost 18-0 away to City of Armagh.
In Division 2A Queens University moved into second place on point’s difference after their 24-7 home win against Old Crescent. Ronan McKenna got a try and conversion for the Limerick side.
Cashel are level on points with Queen’s after their 15-8 away win at Rainey Old Boys but slip to third place. James Ryan and Niall Fitzgerald scored tries for Cashel and Aidan McDonald kicked a conversion and a penalty.

U.L. Bohemian eased their relegation worries with a 10-0 away win at Nenagh Ormond. All the scores came in the second half with Mark Bromell scoring a try and Harry Byrne kicked a conversion and a penalty.

Dolphin remain bottom after their 48-0 defeat at Ballymena.

Midleton remain bottom of Division 2C despite their 19-15 away win against Omagh Academicals but are now just two points off safety. They trailed 15-0 at half time but tries from Rob Smyth, Nick Daly and Steven England, two of which Stuart Lee converted gave the east Cork side the points.
Leaders Skerries defeated Bruff 31-7 with Johnny Clery scoring Bruff’s try and Kevin McManus converted.

Second placed Enniscorthy defeated Sunday’s Well 26-21 at Irish Independent Park. Cormac Kelliher, Conor O’Brien and Michael Moynihan were the ‘Well try scorers and Brian Derham converted all three.

Clonmel took a big step towards a play-off place with 33-5 home win over City of Derry. Luke Hogan scored three tries for the winners and Ciaran Burke and Kelan McDonald got one each. Dylan Cadogan kicked four conversions.
