Aviva To Host Club International

The Ireland Clubs game against France will be played at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, February 14 following the RBS 6 Nations game between Ireland and France.

The game will feature the cream of the crop of the Ulster Bank League and IRFU President, Louis Magee, said: "Having the Club International against France follow the RBS 6 Nations senior international at the Aviva Stadium is an incredible platform to showcase the talent in our club game.

Magee continued: “The amateur game is the bedrock of our sport and it is fitting that this opportunity is utilised to show how vibrant and exciting club rugby is in Ireland.

“I am delighted that in the 2014/15 season we have two high profile opportunities to celebrate and promote the club game."

The confirmation of the Ulster Bank Club International fixture at the Aviva Stadium follows last month's announcement that the Ulster Bank League Division 1A final will also take place at the home of Irish Rugby on May 9, 2015.

The IRFU have also confirmed the venues for a host of international representative games during the 2014/15 season including the Ireland Wolfhounds, Ireland U-20s and Ireland Women.

The international between the Ireland Wolfhounds, sponsored by Three, and the England Saxons will take place at Irish Independent Park on Friday 30th January, 2015

The Ireland U20s, sponsored by PWC, will play their opening home RBS 6 Nations fixture against their French counterparts at Dubarry Park, Athlone on Friday 13th February, 2015 and move to Donnybrook for their second home game of the 6 Nations against England on Friday 27th February, 2015.

The Ireland Women's team, sponsored by AON, will play both of their RBS 6 Nations home games at 'Fortress' Ashbourne where they have recorded many famous victories over the years.

Fellow semi-finalists at the recent IRB Women's Rugby World Cup France and World Champions England will be the visitors to Meath this season.
