Avonmore Milk Schools Senior Cup Update

The final place in this season’s last eight of the Avonmore Milk Schools Senior Cup will be decided in Bandon on Friday 22nd January @ 2.00 when Bandon Grammar face Glenstal Abbey School at the Bandon Grammar Grounds.

With victories over Newtown School 23-6 and Midleton College 21-7, Bandon Grammar must now overcome Glenstal to book their place in the last eight of this competition.

Glenstal have yet to play in this season’s Cup and will start as favourites to book a “home” tie against Castletroy College next Thursday 28th January.

Bandon will be boosted by their two outings so far and will put it up to the County Limerick School.

There are four ties listed next week in the competition.

Rockwell last season’s defeated finalists will get proceedings underway at Clanwilliam next Tuesday when they play St. Munchin’s.

On Wednesday there are two ties with both C.B.C. and P.B.C. travelling to Limerick. Holders C.B.C will play Crescent Comprehensive at Dooradoyle (Garryowen FC grounds) and P.B.C. will play Ard Scoil Ris at Annacotty.

The fourth remaining tie will see either Bandon Grammar or Glenstal Abbey School play Castletroy College on Thursday at a venue to be decided.

All these games will kick off at 3.00.

Thursday 28th January: Bandon Grammar / Glenstal Abbey v Castletroy College, venue to be confirmed, 3.00;
