Bad Day for Munster Rep Sides

Munster began their Schools Interprovincial Championship with defeat by Ulster in Belfast, while Munster lost both games to Leinster in the Under 19 Interprovincial Championship at Thomond Park .
U18 Schools Interprovincial
Ulster U18 Schools 28, Munster U18 Schools 24.
No joy for Munster in their opening Interprovincial tie at Gibson Park.
Two converted tries gave Ulster a 14-0 interval lead but Munster were level with two tries by skipper Ryan Murphy and converted by Rory Scannell after just ten minutes of the second half.
Ulster added two further tries for a deserved victory.

In the first of the Under 19 Interprovincial championship games at Thomond Park, Leinster were in complete control.
Tries by Ferdia Kenny, Jack Conan and Stephen Murphy and a conversion and penalty by Peter Lydon had the visitors 20-3 ahead at half time. Sean Og Murphy kicked a penalty for the home side.
Munster came more into it after the break and were rewarded with tries by Darren O'Shea and Coran Keane. Murphy converted one of the tries and also kicked a penalty. Marcus Walsh scored a try for Leinster and Lydon added a penalty.

In the second game at Thomond Park, a strong second half performance saw Leinster run out deserving winners.
The visitors led 10-6 at half time with tries from Sean O'Loughlin and Oscar O'Suilleabhain. Cian McGovern kicked two penalties for Munster.
Alex Griffin added a try for Munster in the second half but tries from O'Loughlin and Zach Jungman both converted by Peter Osbourne, who also kicked a penalty, made it a double for the visiting side.
