Ballincollig, Bruff and Fermoy Summer Camps Finish Up

It really has been a summer to remember for kids from all over the province, as they have great fun improving their skills, and meeting some of their heros at the Bank of Ireland Munster Rugby Summer Camps.

A fantastic experience for the kids, their coaches, and the returning players, who took time out on their day off to pay visits to camps this week at Ballincollig, Bruff and Fermoy.

Some international stars paid a visit to the three venues this week, with Tyler Bleyendaal and Bill Johnston in Bruff, while Andrew Conway and James Hart dropped in to Fermoy RFC to meet the young boys and girls.

Next week the camps take place in Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa, Kanturk and Nenagh who will be hoping for the fine weather to continue what has been a fantastic summer thus far.

This summer we have a total of 23 venues throughout the whole province (click here to find your nearest venue).

Camp places are available for boys and girls from 6 to 12 years old and take place over one week (Monday through to Friday inclusive) between 9:30am and 1:30pm.

The current crop of boys and girls will get the chance to make new friends, learn more about rugby values such as teamwork, respect and integrity, and also become more aware of the importance of physical fitness. All this while learning to develop the basic rugby skills of passing, tackling (in a controlled environment), evasion and kicking.

You can check out a video of the camps this year!
