Bandon Primary School Blitz Attracts 700 Pupils

Bandon RFC welcomed boys and girls for a successful blitz day INPHO/Tommy Dickson

Munster Development recently held a monster primary school blitz at Bandon RFC with 700 boys and girls in attendance.

Bandon Grammar School and Coláiste na Toirbhirte TY students refereed the games and co-ordinated pitchside with Munster Rugby staff and Bandon RFC volunteers supervising events.

Local butcher, Dan Moloney, was also on hand to ensure energy levels were maintained throughout the day.

The event marked the end of an extensive programme of school blitzes held throughout the season and across the province.

The blitz provided students with the opportunity to develop their skills in a fun and competitive environment, while also encouraging participation.
