Bandon RFC To Welcome Black Ferns Star For Women & Girls Event

Bandon RFC are set to welcome New Zealand Black Ferns star, Stacey Waaka, for an evening of women’s and girls’ rugby on Tuesday 26 February at the club (7pm-9pm).

Waaka was a member of the victorious 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup squad and has lifted the Women’s Sevens World Cup trophy in her decorated career, having excelled at both 15s and 7s for the Black Ferns.

The 23-year-old has a family connection to the West Cork club with her brother, Bronson Waaka, a current member of Bandon’s J1 side having settled into the squad since arriving in Ireland last October.

Bandon RFC are calling women and girls of all ages to join them when they welcome Waaka to the club on Tuesday with the opportunity to train with the Black Fern also available to those who attend.
