Bandon Win Inaugural U17 Blitz On Home Turf

The Munster Domestic Rugby Department recently held a South Munster U17 10 a-side Blitz in Bandon RFC. The winners of this inaugural competition was Bandon after a tightly contested final against their West Cork neighbours Clonakilty.

Sixteen teams participated on the day with the competition split into four pools and the top four teams contesting the semi finals.

The semi finals saw Bandon and Clonakilty meet in the final and following a long day of competitive rugby, both teams continued to play an open and expansive game which was enjoyed by all spectators.

Both finalists were presented with training tops by Munster Rugby's Community Rugby Manager Damon Urlich.
