Bank of Ireland Munster Talent Camp Underway
8th July 2015 By Munster Rugby
The annual Bank of Ireland Munster Rugby Talent Camp is now underway across two bases at the Mardyke Arena in UCC, Cork and Rockwell College in County Tipperary.
This year’s Talent Camp sees the Munster U17 Clubs and Schools and U18 Clubs and Schools based in Rockwell, while the Munster U19s and U20s will train in the Mardyke.
Players have been selected from across the province in recent months as part of the Munster player identification process and will undergo extensive training and educational modules in the coming weeks.
Programmes will include on-pitch activities, strength and conditioning sessions, and player welfare tutorials focusing on diet and nutritional needs.
The Bank of Ireland Munster Rugby Talent Camp will incorporate preparations for the upcoming interprovincial campaigns commencing in the coming months while also giving players, coaches and management a unique opportunity to familiarise themselves with all squads.
Throughout the camp it is envisaged that players will be identified for future development programmes as part of Munster Rugby's overall objective in building for the future.
S&C Coach Damien O'Donoghue goes through some stretch demonstrations prior to taking to the field at Rockwell.
