Bantry Bay Girls On International Stage

Bantry Bay RFC received the fantastic news last week that their girls’ U15 team have been chosen to play at half-time during the Irish Women’s 6 Nations game against Wales in Ashbourne RFC next Friday (ko 7.30pm).

The club now fields girls' teams at both Under 15 and Under 18 level and numbers continue to grow.

Bantry Bay RFC recently acknowledged the support of the IRFU and Munster Rugby and the work and assistance received from Munster Women’s Development Officer Amanda Greensmith.

There is huge excitement and pride that the Under 15s, supported by all their teammates, will take to the pitch in Ashbourne. Arrangements are being finalised by their coaches and club committee to organise a big travelling support on the night from families, friends and supporters.
