BOI Munster Senior Cup Draw 2016/17

The draw for the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup took place today at Bank of Ireland, UL Campus, Limerick.
Munster Rugby President Gerry O’Shea, Munster Rugby Hon. Secretary Joe Murphy and players Dave Foley and Jack O’Donoghue made the draw in the presence of Bank of Ireland UL Campus Branch Manager Denise Flynn and Munster Rugby Senior Club representatives.
Holders Cork Constitution begin their defense with an away tie to UL Bohemian. The winners will progress to a home tie in the quarter final stage of the competition against the deciders of Nenagh Ormond and Garryowen.
Dolphin will host fellow Cork club Highfield and face the winners of Old Crescent and Midleton while Kanturk and Young Munster will battle it out with the winner hosting either Shannon or Sunday’s Well.
Tipperary club Cashel will entertain Thomond in the opening round with the winners taking on Bruff or UCC away.
The Bank Of Ireland sponsored Munster Senior Cup is Munster's oldest competition first played in 1886 and claimed by Bandon RFC under the captaincy of Frank Levis.
