BOI Munster Senior Cup Reaches Quarter Final Stage

The Bank Of Ireland Munster Senior Cup is now at the quarter final stage with a local derby fixture set for Friday night at Clifford Park (ko 7.30pm) between Limerick clubs Young Munster and UL Bohemian.

Both sides reached last year’s semi final stage with Bohs’ losing out to Garryowen and Young Munster suffering defeat in the hands of eventual winners Cork Constitution.

Young Munster, who currently sit in fifth position in Division 1A of the AIL League table will welcome their home advantage against the Division 1B side who last reached the final in season 2012/13.

There will be a repeat of last year’s final on Saturday, 19th December, when reigning champions Cork Constitution host Garryowen at Temple Hill, ko 2.30pm.

The Cork side bid for their fourth title in a row this season while Garryowen last lifted the trophy in Season 2011/12, captained by Conan Doyle.

The remaining two quarter finals will take place in the New Year which sees UCC host Old Crescent at the Mardyke on Saturday, 2nd January and Nenagh Ormond at home to Dolphin on 23rd January 2016.
