Bowen Shield Semi Finals

C.B.C. and Rockwell are to contest this year’s Bowen Shield Final after victories in today’s semi finals.

Rockwell continued their good run with an impressive performance at Wilton when they defeated the holders P.B.C. 18-7 to reach the Bowen Shield Final.

Sonny Dwyer and David Johnson scored tries for Rockwell and Coleman Kennedy kicked two penalties and a conversion. James Daly replied with a try for Pres’ and Mark O’Callaghan converted.

C.B.C. defeated Ard Scoil Ris 13-3 in the other semi final at Lansdowne. Chris McAuliffe scored a try for the winners and Ryan Foley converted and added two penalties. Ronan McKenna replied with a penalty for the Limerick side.

C.B.C. defeated arch rivals P.B.C. 7-5 to reach the final of the McCarthy Cup (Under 15) at Lansdowne. Evan Mintern scored a try for Christians which Michael O’Halloran converted.

Christians will now play Castletroy College in the final of the Under 15 competiiton afte rthe Limerick side defeated Ard Scoil Ris 20-0 in the other semi final.

C.B.C. 13,Ard Scoil Ris 3;
P.B.C. 7,Rockwell 18;

McCarthy Cup Semi Final:C.B.C 7,P.B.C. 5;

Castletroy College 20,Ard Scoil Ris 0.
