Briggs Launches Ticket Sale For Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017

Ireland Women’s Rugby stars gathered in Kingspan Stadium, Belfast to launch tickets for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 Final which will take place in the Kingspan Stadium in 365 days time (26th August 2017) and the Semi-Finals Day, which takes place on the 22nd August.
As host nation, Ireland's final two games in the tournament are guaranteed to take place in the Kingspan Stadium on both of these days.
Munster and Ireland Women's Captain Niamh Briggs, out-half Nora Stapleton, Ulster Women's player Maeve Liston and Women's Rugby World Cup 2017 Ambassador Fiona Coghlan launched the Finals and Semi-Finals Day tickets which are on sale now via ticketmaster.ie and ticketmaster.co.uk.
Finals Day tickets, which will feature three games, including the final, the third/forth placed play-off and one ranking game, start from just £10 for children, £15 for adults and £45 for families (2+2).
Semi-Finals Day will also consist of three games, including Ireland, on 22nd August 2017.
Tickets for the pool games, which will take place in University College Dublin from 9th August 2017, will go on sale in early 2017.
Speaking about the year ahead, Ireland Women's Captain Niamh Briggs said "It is hard to believe that it is just one year to the final of the Women's Rugby World Cup in the magnificent Kingspan Stadium.
“We have a huge year ahead of us, starting with the November internationals in UCD and followed by the Six Nations, and we will be looking to continue building from there so that we are peaking for the World Cup. I am delighted that we will play in Kingspan Stadium on both the Semi-Finals and Finals Day, and I'm sure that supporters will have two great days out.”
Women's Rugby World Cup Ambassador, Fiona Coghlan also added "The momentum is really starting to build now, and with the logo launched and the finals tickets now on sale I am calling on Irish people to "#Bring It” for Ireland's Women's Rugby World Cup.
“It is fantastic that, as hosts and due to the structure of the tournament, Ireland are guaranteed to play in in front of home supporters on both the Semi-Finals and Finals Day in Kingspan Stadium. With two fantastic days of rugby, fun and celebration guaranteed I urge all Irish rugby fans to snap up these great priced tickets fast.”
Twelve teams will compete for the biggest prize in Women's Rugby. The top seven teams from the 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup in France automatically qualified for next year's tournament. They are; hosts Ireland, defending champions England, 2014 runners-up Canada, New Zealand, Australia, France and the United States.
These teams have since been joined by Italy and Wales, who were the top two ranked sides outside of England, France and Ireland across the 2015 and 2016 Women's Six Nations. The remaining three qualifiers will be determined by the end of 2016.
As the host nation, Ireland will be guaranteed to play in Kingspan Stadium on both the Finals and Semi-Finals Day.
