Bruff Host Blitz Ahead Of Summer Camps
19th June 2015 By Munster Rugby
Bruff RFC hosted a Leprechaun rugby blitz for the local national schools earlier this week ahead of the upcoming Bank of Ireland Munster Rugby Summer Camps.
The blitz was played by fifth and sixth class boys and girls from six national schools in the area; Herbertstown, Knockainey, Hospital, Lough Gur, Cloverfield and Athlacca.
All schools have been engaging with the 'Play Rugby' programme thanks to the ongoing support of Ed Hennessy and Eoin Cahill, Bruff RFC so this blitz was a great opportunity for participants to further develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of the game whilst the main emphasis was on having fun.
A fantastic day was had by all involved with the main focus of the day being to promote rugby in the area whilst also promoting the upcoming Bank of Ireland Summer Camp in Bruff RFC from August 3-7. Full details of all Summer Camps are available here.
Bruff RFC have a long and proud reputation for the introduction and development of young players and it was hugely positive to see the majority of participants at the blitz were already involved in rugby within the club.
