Bruff Win Avonmore Munster U17 League Title

Bruff booked their place in the semi finals of the All Ireland Under 17 Competition with a deserved victory over Kanturk at Musgrave Park.
Bruff 36, Kanturk 8.
Bruff produced a blistering first half performance to capture the Avonmore SuperMilk Munster Youths Under 17 title with a four try blitz that Kanturk had no answer for.
Scrum half John Carew opened the scoring with a try for Bruff after two minutes which out half David O’Grady converted. Skipper Tom O’Dwyer scored Bruff’s second try and O’Grady got their third which he also converted for a 19-0 lead.
Paul O’Keeffe kicked a penalty for Kanturk after twenty four minutes but a forth try by Shane Doona converted by O’Grady left it 26-3 at half time.
Eight minutes into the second half O’Grady scored his second try and ten minutes from time Aaron Daly scored a try for Kanturk.
Alex McAuliffe completed the scoring with Bruff’s sixth try four minutes from time.
Kanturk’s Sean Cremin was named man of the match.
