Carrigtwohill Community College recently welcomed Munster Rugby Schools & Youth Development Officer, Vincent O’Leary, to their grounds for an afternoon of rugby training.

A total of 21 students participated in the after school session with O’Leary introducing boys and girls to passing and contact drills before concluding with a game of touch rugby.

In addition to the session, all 1st year students are currently taking part in three weeks of tag rugby training and all 2nd year students are scheduled to participate in the same programme before the Christmas break.

The college’s U15 Boys’ team recently took part in a Munster Rugby Emerging Schools Blitz at Ballincollig RFC, with the squad putting their skills into practice.
