CCRO Programme Underway In Dingle Peninsula
30th September 2021 By The Editor
New Munster Rugby Club & Community Rugby Officer (CCRO) for Rugbaí Chorca Dhuibhne, Eanna Conchuir, started a rugby programme in Ballyferriter National School last week with 4th, 5th and 6th class students learning new evasion and catch/pass skills.
The students also played a variety of modified and conditioned non-contact rugby games.
The programme enables students to try these skills out during class time and experience a game many may not have tried before.
This will also take place in other schools in the Dingle Peninsula so that children will have the opportunity to experience playing rugby, often for the first time.
Children who enjoy the sport and wish to continue playing will be encouraged to reach out to Rugbaí Chorca Dhuibhne.
Recently, this season’s CCROs underwent an induction day at Musgrave Park where they were able to plan out their season and develop the various drills and games they will be using over the coming months.
