Changes To Junior Competitions

At a recent meeting of the Munster Junior Committee the following changes have been agreed to their competitions for the coming season.

Where a game goes to uncontested scrums, the team that is responsible will play with a player less. This will apply to Division 1, 2, and 3 of the Munster Junior League, Junior Clubs Cup, Junior Clubs Shield and Martin O’Sullivan Cup.

The other change decided was in the Third Division of the Munster Junior League.
Because Carrick-on-Suir and Scariff have withdrawn from this division and Mitchelstown have been added leaving ten teams.
Each side will play nine matches in a league format with the winners automatically promoted.
The next eight teams in the table will enter a play off for the second promotion spot.
For the play offs teams will be ranked 1 to 8 according to the places they finished in the league.
However should a team have given a walk over, they will be ranked last.
Should more than one side give a walk over, their positions will be ranked according to who finished in the higher position in the league.
Extra Time and Decision on the Day rules will apply should sides finish level to decide a winner.
The higher ranked side will have home advantage in all games.
The draw is –
Quarter Finals:
A
1 v 8
B 2 v 7
C 3 v 6
D 4 v 5

Semi Finals:
E
A v D
F B v C

Final:
